Tips & Tricks

  • Your new grass is building a network underground both deep & extensive. This dense root network will help repair the turf, give it tolerance to wear & tear, and provide traction in a sports turf situation. Don’t mow this grass less than 2.5 inches.

  • Give the rhizomes time to develop, stay off your new sod for about 14 days.

  • If your grass appears yellow after mowing, you are cutting too much.

  • Mow when sod is cool and dry.

  • Bag your clippings on the first month to promote oxygen, sunlight and water reaching the soil promoting healthy root growth.
